One or more camera operators will replace the “eye” of the remote creative director (usually “the client”).

The streaming mixer, connected to the multi-sim device will send the signal to Zoom or Webex (or other platforms) through which the creative director can follow all the production operations from another site in real time.

To give you the freedom and control of your remote production we adopt a combination of devices tested by frame.io. Streaming service and remote  connection devices are supplied by Teradek. For audio connection we use Soundevices.
 Komodo Red camera is one of the offered options to stream (full HD) and receive straightforward h265 files (using the internal IP of the camera + Teradek device via frame.io).

The remote production management is a new concept driven by the immediate demand for change due to Coronavirus. It would likely have happened anyway but over a longer period. The project will therefore be innovative as the procedures, processes need to be introduced whilst adapting equipment and communication devices to fulfil the new requirements. There will be a large market need but it has not been tried much before by the market, especially in the small to medium scale production market where Hoxton Lab operate
